With over 40% of riders in the UK wearing an unsafe helmet we feel it is our duty as a responsible retailer to do something about this major issue. Helmets degrade over time due to wear and tear, knocks, bumps, and UV from sunlight, with the general consensus from industry bodies and manufacturers recommending replacement every 3 – 5 years.

We will offer you a 20% discount on any Shoei helmet if you can prove that your old helmet is over 5 years old. Be that a receipt or a manufactures date printed inside the shell. If you can’t prove that the helmet is 5 years or older or if you have been in an accident recently we will still give you a 15% discount. It really is that simple, no hidden costs or surprises. Please note we are unable to execute this offer online; you have to come in store and surrender your old helmet at the point of exchange.

A: No. The aim of this offer is to encourage you to replace your old helmet, which might not be safe anymore. So, whether you have an old £50 helmet, or an old £800 helmet.

Q: Can I bring in a damaged helmet?

A: Yes, but we hope you haven’t been riding around in it also we will only offer a 15% discount.

Q: Can I bring in more than one helmet?

A: Yes, but the maximum discount on any helmet will still be 20%. We are more than happy to dispose of your old helmets.

Q: Does my old helmet have to be from DMC Birmingham?

A: No. However, you will still need your original receipt or some proof of age to qualify for a 20% discount.

Q: How much can my new helmet cost?

A: As much or as little as you want to spend. The only restriction is this offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other deals or discounts and is limited to Shoei.
